There may still have been a few aftershocks but, as far as I’m concerned, I haven’t felt any since last night, when it was reported that there were already 1,400 or so.

And for this, thank you, Lord!

It would be a big shame if we kept on Facebooking without acknowledging the fact that, for the first time since the Oct. 15 Bohol-Cebu earthquake, we’ve been given the gift of a good night’s sleep.

I’m not a seismologist—so, again, I have no idea as to how much longer these aftereffects are going to agitate our planet—but one thing is for sure, we can now say to ourselves, to our family, to our neighbors, to our friends, and to each other that, despite everything, today is a less stressful day.

Praise the Lord! Let’s continue to pray for all the victims, dead and alive, in Bohol. Many of us may not have the physical or material resources to go out there and contribute to their recovery, but our prayers can make wonders. Greatly.
