I caught myself choking up when I saw the prices of the entrance to the concert dubbed as “Royals” on February 14, 2016, at the Pacific Grand Ballroom of the Waterfront Cebu City Hotel & Casino. I couldn’t believe how high the tickets were pegged. But because this concert is featuring my one and only favorite singer, Asia’s Songbird Regine Velasquez, I hurried right off to buy my ticket, not without my brolly which gave me much needed protection from the heavy downpour on my way to the hotel venue some six blocks away from my office building.

I thought to myself that if I’d splurged quite a chunk of money on some of Regine’s previous concerts which were held in Manila, what with the plane tickets and the time constraints, why do I have to fret this one which is just going to happen on my very rest day and only a ten-minute walk away from my work here in Cebu?

Thanks to my good friend Mega Marc for sending me the good news about the concert, and also to my other thoughtful friend Jay Zafra for forwarding me the link to this photo. I can’t imagine myself missing this event, and I can’t wait to see my idol again. Having bought my ticket already, my only problem now is what to wear to look different from my stereotyped mien and what not to wear to save myself the embarrassment once again, after going home from covering the concert of the British boy band, a1, eons ago, during my print media days. I was in my room,  ready to change, only to discover that I had put on my shirt inside out.

To those who are interested to watch the concert on Feb. 14, 2016, kindly read the poster: to know where to buy your tickets.
